Our group decided to capture the essence of Myth all within the town of Bozeman. We started by walking up and down main street taking photos of mythological shops and bars. Of which we found: The Odyssey, The Bacchus (god of merriment), Erotique (sex), Plonk (wine), Gold's Gym, even UPS (Hermes).
All of these stores, to us, seemed to represent many mythological characters, settings, and themes. So after we came up with that plan, we had to put it in the form of a "silent film" of sorts. This came in the form of interviews and snapshots all within the confines of our greatest Dionysian-inspired locations, the bars. We interviewed several people, and all had great answers. Many of the interviewees had been possessed by the great god Dionysus. We were all in costumes that represented mythological characters, such as Zeus (Ashley) wearing a toga of clouds, Persephone (Danielle) wearing a Barbie toga, Artemis (Bailey) wearing a camouflaged hunting toga, Io (Abby) wearing a cow toga and dawned udders, Hades (Eric) with a toga of fire, Dorothy (Theresa) in her characters clothes and pig tails, and Hercules (me) with a sword and armor. We all took pictures in poses that coincided with our characters lives. I posed hitting on women, since I am a womanizer, Persephone took pictures of herself in the bathroom, Zeus and Io flirted all night, Artemis was shooting everyone in the bar, Dorothy had her first alcoholic beverage, and Hades wasn't there. All together it was an awesome experience and we did the project all the while praising Dionysus for possessing us so!
